Blackwood is a fungi town at this time of year. We will celebrate and learn a little about these amazing life forms. Kids can make fungi sculptures and adults can learn how to grow oyster mushrooms in two seperate workshops.

ABOUT
Kathy will show a collection of images of fungi from around Blackwood as inspiration, we can look at mycelium and learn how to make spore prints to help understand their lifecycle and role in an ecology. Kids can make a paper and tape sculpture, or one from polymer clay that can be baked and painted. 
Adults can learn how to grow oyster mushrooms in a hands on activity. Limited take home grow buckets will be made during this workshop. Kids can stay but it will be pitched to adults
The Fungi Town caravan will make an appearance too.
